About BDSD

This project is not only about creating a new uniform, but mainly about what that uniform should represent for you as part of the Defence.

Shaped by tradition

A uniform is more than just clothing. It represents the values of the military: commitment, discipline and connection with the country. It also carries tradition, while still meeting today’s needs and expectations.

The current service dress has been used for more than twenty years and has already proven its value. But over time, expectations have changed, especially when it comes to comfort, fit and practicality. That is why Defence wants to move towards something more modern and better adapted to today’s reality.

With this new service dress, the goal is to put military personnel back at the centre. The idea is to offer quality clothing and accessories that fit different working conditions and climates. The system will also be more flexible, with pieces that can easily be combined depending on the situation and the dress regulations.

Defence also wants to guarantee more stability and better management in order to avoid shortages or differences in equipment between military personnel.

This new uniform keeps the important elements such as tradition, identity and a professional image, while also bringing more modernity, comfort and durability.
