Belgian expertise plays an important role in this project, supported by an international partner with a long tradition in ceremonial uniforms.
Within this consortium, Belgian companies combine their knowledge and experience in military clothing and high quality workwear, together with specialised expertise in formal and ceremonial uniforms. This collaboration not only helps guarantee quality and reliability, but also strengthens the project within the Belgian industry.
Together, the partners are developing a modern service dress that respects tradition while also focusing on innovation, comfort and sustainability.
Seyntex
Seyntex is a Belgian company with more than one hundred years of experience in military and protective clothing. The family business was founded in 1908 and has grown into an internationally recognised expert in technical and innovative solutions for defence applications.
Today, Seyntex develops and produces a wide range of equipment, from combat clothing and parade uniforms to specialised protection systems. Their strength lies in combining high quality materials with technological innovation, while keeping a strong focus on durability and performance.
Within the consortium, Seyntex plays a key role in the technical development and production process, with special attention to quality, reliability and production capacity.
Xandres
Xandres Corporate, part of the Belgian fashion house Xandres, brings its expertise in modern and high quality corporate clothing to this project. As a B2B partner, Xandres develops complete solutions that combine functionality with a professional appearance.
With experience in sectors such as aviation, public transport and healthcare, Xandres knows how to translate identity into a consistent and professional look. The whole process is managed from start to finish, from design to production and logistics.
In this project, Xandres mainly contributes with its experience in developing comfortable and high quality clothing, with a strong focus on comfort, fit and a polished appearance.
Kashket Group
Kashket & Partners of London specialises in the design and production of high quality ceremonial and formal military uniforms. The company builds on a long tradition of craftsmanship and works with experienced tailors and artisans.
As part of Firmin House, supplier of uniforms to the British Army and the Royal Household since 1649, Kashket has unique expertise in traditional military formal dress.
Within the consortium, Kashket mainly brings its knowledge of tradition and ceremonial craftsmanship, with strong attention to detail, finishing and historical accuracy.
Local involvement
Besides the collaboration within the consortium, the Defence also strongly focuses on local involvement. Several Belgian companies and manufacturers contribute to the development and production of the new Service Dress.
For different parts of the project, the Defence works together with specialised Belgian partners, each bringing expertise in their own field, from textiles and accessories to shoes and insignia. This collaboration not only strengthens the quality and reliability of the project, but also supports local craftsmanship and Belgian industry.
Some of the Belgian partners involved in the wider Service Dress ecosystem include Ambiorix NV, Distri Shoe NV, Beernaert Socks BV, Mauquoy NV and Utexbel NV. The Defence also works closely with social enterprises such as De Posthoorn and Forena. For supporting services, Tailor Made Logistics, Centexbel and Oxfam are involved in the upcycling of end of life materials.
By working with local partners, the Defence chooses not only expertise and quality, but also sustainable cooperation, short supply chains and a strong connection with the Belgian economy.
